Referrals for Developmental Evaluations (Preschool age)
Child Find is a federally funded program in the State of Delaware that identifies students for special education services. The Early Years Child Find team screens, evaluates, and recommends specific services for preschool-aged children. The purpose of Child Find is to connect families, who may have concerns regarding their child’s development, with resources and/or services.
If you have concerns regarding your preschool-aged child’s development, please contact the Child Find Department by sending an inquiry through our central email address: childfind@redclay.k12.de.us. Once the email is received, you will be contacted for further information and to discuss the necessary next steps. If warranted, an evaluation may be offered in the areas of communication, gross motor, fine motor, cognition, self-help, and personal/social skills. The referral and evaluation are at no cost to the parent.
